Embed Your AI Agent in GoDaddy

Adding your Answerly AI agent to your GoDaddy website takes less than two minutes.

GoDaddy’s Websites + Marketing builder includes a dedicated HTML section, making it easy to drop in your script snippet without digging into complex system files.

Here is the step-by-step guide to embedding your AI agent on GoDaddy.

1. Copy Your Embed Snippet

Before heading to GoDaddy, you need to grab your unique widget code from the Answerly dashboard.

Go to the Instant Embed page, and click on Connect a Website:

When you click connect a website you get a modal where you're asked to connect your website:

Insert your website below without https and any other special characters.

www.example.com ℹ️ If your website works with www then make sure you include it here too.

Once you click continue an embed code will be generated for you. Copy this script snippet to your clipboard.

2. Add Code using GoDaddy HTML Section

GoDaddy lets you add custom code directly inside individual pages or site-wide layouts using their modular section block builder.

1. Log into your GoDaddy Product Page, scroll down to Websites + Marketing, and select Manage next to your site.
2. Click Edit Website to open your visual layout workspace editor dashboard.
3. Navigate to the page where you want the AI agent to appear (we recommend starting on your Home page).
4. Scroll to the location where you want to drop the hidden hook block container (dropping it near your footer layout is best practice) and click Add Section.
5. In the right-hand search field card menu panel, search for HTML and click Add.
6. Paste your copied Answerly script snippet code directly into the Custom Code text box field layout container.
7. Leave Forced Height blank or set it to 0 so the section container wrapper box stays invisible and doesn't disrupt your template layout flow.
8. Click Done and then click Publish in the upper right-hand corner of your screen to push the code modifications live.

3. Verify the Connection

Once the code is added to GoDaddy, we need to establish the connection between your site and Answerly.

1. Open your live GoDaddy production domain link in a new browser tab.
2. Refresh the page a few times—this triggers the script assets and alerts our system hooks.
3. Head back to the Answerly website dashboard.

Your dashboard status will update to show that your website is successfully Verified.

4. Set Your Display Conditions

Now that the handshake is complete, you can control exactly where your AI agent appears. In your Answerly dashboard settings, choose whether you want to show your agent across all pages, or set specific path conditions to match your preference.
